Pharrell’s recent wedding was a strange melange of hipster and rapper elements. He married model Helen Lasichanh in a tartan suit, while Helen flaunted a voluminous tartan gown. Let’s examine this further.
They got married on a yacht called Never Say Never, which is perfect because I was going to say, “Never wear tartan on a boat while getting married.” I’m happy that Helen chose an unconventional wedding gown, though, no matter how incoherent the whole theme seemed. Sometimes, you can’t even tell the newly betrothed couple apart. Which one is Pharrell and which one is Helen? It may take a second to figure that out, but the ambiguity just amps up the hip factor.

Pharrell definitely didn’t get this idea off the Pinterest wedding boards. Nevertheless, it’s always nice to see a rapper settling down.
