Art Spotting: Rural Depression Era Photography

Written by

Rural, Depression Era, images of America as it was, back then.

Our BFF’s LiveFastMag found a gold mine in the Great Depression Era photography of Dorothea Lange.  Dating back to the 1930’s, the images capture Lange’s assignment to capture the rural day-to-day lives of migrant workers for a program sponsored by the FSA (Farm Security Administration) . The haunting, telling & enlightening images really strike a chord. Pretty wild, right?
