For me, talent+crazy=my kind of celebrity. Case and point, Mariah Carey. There is no denying either of the necessary ingredients of celebrity. She has the most #1 singles for a solo artist in the U.S.–the only people ahead of her in the general category are the Beatles..the freakin’ Beatles..the girl’s got talent. And the crazy aspect, well c’mon now..her break-down, let’s face it, she’s got a few screws loose. The 90’s pop queen has been fairly quiet considering the level of her fame recently besides, of course, her marriage to Nick Cannon, which still weirds me out. Well our diva is back to follow her 2008 album E=MC2 with the new Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. The title kind of makes me want to barf, so very dramatic..but she’s got the chops so I’m hoping there will be at least one song that will make up for the typical “I write music about my struggles, even though I have more money than God” album title. Well anywho, she announced on her Twitter yesterday that her first single from the new album is called Obsessed and should be on the radio by Tuesday. Well, from what I can see this diva is doing pretty well..next on the list, Whitney Houston, let’s go girl..get you some rehab and come back to us!
